Who doesn't want pizza?! Students take pieces of pizza according to the quotients they make from dividing a specific number by a number on a spinner. The game ends when there are no more pizza pieces to take.

Materials:

  • I Want Pizza resource sheets,

    • Before you play cut out the pizzas on page 1 so students can take slices they do their division problems.

  • Paperclip & pencil to spin (or a clear spinner overlay)

How to Play:

  1. Put all pizza pieces in a pile in the middle of the playing area

  2. Players take turns spinning and solving the division problems.

  3. After solving the problem, players take the number of pieces equal to the quotient.

  4. When all the pieces are gone, the player with the most pizza pieces wins the game.

Pro-tip:

For easy storage, I recommend you put the cut up pizza pieces in a zip-loc bag so you don't lose them and have to recut.
